Image result for “The Cat’s In The Cradle” and Wounds of Rejection

This song keeps coming to my mind the last few days. Wounds of rejection occur to many and for many different reasons. Our children need to know that we love them, not by the things that we buy them, but by the love that we show them.

“The cat’s in the cradle”…

An Analogy: Dark Sunglasses and Depression

feeling your life is a mess.
Surrounded by brokenness…
and intense feelings of distress.
Looking around you…
feeling your world has fallen apart.
Knowing you have to continue…
but the darkness just won’t depart. Continue reading

and that’s why so many are lonely this time of year.
And commercial after commercial…
talks about family and gift giving to others…
but so many are financially unable…
or even estranged from children, sisters, or brothers. Continue reading
