Watching the anger…
as it builds up inside…
to the point others see…
when abusers can no longer hide.
For like a boiling teapot…
with stream getting ready to burst…
we sense the pressure building…
wondering if this outburst will be the worst.
For again and again we cringe…
as we’ve watched the anger rise…
when all charm and compassion…
was thrown out like a disguise.
For abusers can only hide…
their boiling anger within…
as a temporary restraint…

This is for the many who have been deceived by what we see on the “outside” of a person. Remember, it is only what is on the inside that really matters. For anger, resentment, bitterness, and many negative traits can be hidden… until what is in the heart is exposed.
