how different they can be…
for one is filled with anger and hate…
and the other a peaceful entity.

More and More Violence…

More and more violence…
is being seen in the world today…
from behind closed doors in homes…
to the schools where our children play.
And why is this increase happening…
is what so many people repeatedly ask…
but just look around at our society…
and the immorality that so many bask.
From porn on the streets and internet…
to rioting and violence in the street…

The Desensitization of Our Society Today

The desensitization…
of our society today…
is affecting our children…
by things they experience each day.
For many sit for hours…
and play shooting video games…
where they try to kill many…
competing with others with the same.
And many experience violence…
by their parents who daily fight…
so it becomes acceptable…
unable to distinguish wrong from right.
And many parents seem blinded…
to what their children really do…

RAGE— Explodes From Within

RAGE…
explodes from within…
with a deep-seeded anger…
that needs to come to an end.
For many families see it…
as it escalates in violence…
but to protect their family…
they just hide it in silence.
Now some who have it…
express it as “ROAD RAGE”…
and others may be triggered…

Violence— A Problem of the Heart

Violence…
is a problem of the heart…
and it’s from this point…
that analysis needs to start.
For the society we’re in…
has been desensitized today…
by things seen on television,
video games and words some say.
And there’s a bitterness…
and anger that seems to linger…
that causes many to become violent…

A Nation Mourns…

A nation mourns…
as tragedy hits again…
with many victims injured…
and young lives put to an end.
For this should never happen…
to innocent children in schools…
for it should be a safe place…

Fires of Hatred Are Getting Fueled Everyday

Fires of hatred…
are getting fueled everyday…
by terrorist organizations…
and even words that reporters say.
For you can’t turn on the news…
without hearing words of hate…
as many speak “killing” or “death”…
while others with anger berate.
For the desire to bash others…
is getting more and more pronounced…
and it’s time to stop it now…

The trauma of domestic violence…
is what I want to discuss today.
For too many don’t realize…
the damage that is done each day.
For women are violently abused…
with many beat up or shot…
but men aren’t immune as victims…
and this fact mustn’t be forgot.

we all need to realize that God is our “Only Hope” along the way.
Let us join together in prayer for all victims and their families…
and let us cry out to Him to protect us and this entire nation from further tragedies.
