The cycle of abuse continues as children learn from parents and families. We have to change how we treat people so that our children will learn to treat all with love,  kindness, and respect… instead of with abuse so the cycle of abuse will be broken.

They watch and hear…
and accept the misuse.
For it becomes normal…
and what they expect…
as they learn from abusers…
who show no respect.

Endless Echoes… of Kindness or Abuse

Endless echoes…
of words sweet and kind…
are the words we desire…
but often not find.
For many abusers…
use words and threats…
to paralyze victims…
with shame and regrets.
For victims are abused…
often remaining in silence…
with words echoing…
with threats of violence.
