A Message to Single Parents Who Raise Children Alone

A message to single parents…
for raising children alone is hard to do.
But as we look back upon the years…
we can see how God has helped us through.
For we seldom choose to raise children alone…
but as we look back over the years…
we can see how God has blessed us…
through all our brokenness and tears.
And as we celebrate today…
the college graduation of my youngest child…
I thank God for His blessings…
as I praise Him through my tears and smile.
For like most single parents…
I have raised my children alone…
through years of school plus college…
as God’s presence has been shown.
For we have seen Him move in our lives…
when we have struggled though many a day…
and we all know the importance…
of seeking His will as we pray.
And though their dad as failed them…
many, many times over the years…
they know God is their “Good Father”…
Who we can trust even with our tears.
So as we celebrate today…
I want to give the honor that’s due…
cause I could not have done it without Him…
so thank You Father for helping us all through.
