Time Heals All Wounds

Time heals all wounds

or so it’s always said…

or does it just put distance

between you and the one you dread.

For when we are hurt

some of us just want to flee…

to get away from those who hurt us

like when God parted the sea.

But is it wounds that are healed

by the time we are apart…

or is it God that intervenes

to bring healing to our heart.

Now one thing’s for sure;

time allows us to forgive…

but never really to forget

only give us peace for us to live.

For God will heal our wounds

and repair damage to our heart…

we just need to give it all to Him

where His healing can all start.

“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD;“

Jeremiah 30:17
