HE LIFTS US UP: RAGE…not a “Fruit”

ChristianBlessings

domesticviolence

So many victims of abuse have experienced the fear that comes with this outburst and lack of control displayed by abusers… some even claiming to be Christians. But this anger is not of God. I pray that all abusers will release this anger and get an infilling of the fruit of the Spirit instead…

RAGE!!
It is not a pretty sight.
RAGE!!
Leaves many with levels of fright.
RAGE!!
Resulting from anger within.
RAGE!!
Like a beast being exposed again.

  1. Thanks Sis for re-blogging this! This is a vastly important issue that we as believers of Christ should NOT stray from but rather should be boldly willing to address! I value sites like yours and Christian Blessings who are not afraid to skirt the issue, but following the leading of the Holy Spirit is willing to touch on the tough issues.
This anger, bitterness, rage issue is become quite epidemic, especially here in the U.S. What is sad Sis, is that too many church leaders are afraid of addressing this to their congregations because it is not “uplifting” and they only want what is “nice!” But, that is what Christ referred to as “tickling their ears” and it is certainly ignoring the truth. The pulpit should be the place for instruction in ALL areas of life that crop up whether it be issues such as this or religious fads that are deceptive and stray from the truth.
You know, I have always believed that we are VESSELS to be used by our Lord and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do Christ Jesus work. What happened to healing? I believe God has given man the means and wisdom to help with healing through technology and medicines, but God is still a God of miracles also. I sometimes wonder if the Church IN Christ has become lazy and/or doubtful in the power that has been entrusted to them to point others to the Glorious and Awesome Heavenly Father and the Redemption found in Christ Jesus!
Miracles weren’t just happenstance. If you look at all the circumstances where Jesus or the Apostles exhibited spiritual power, it always confirmed what Jesus or the Apostles were trying to teach as truth. It was ALWAYS a confirmation of TRUTH! Today, where is that confirmation? Where is that Truth? Christ promised us the same power in the Holy Spirit; sadly there are denominations that teach that the same power went away with the Apostles! But that has only caused that power to grow stagnant!! When you don’t believe ALL of the Scriptures, then you might as well throw out them all, because our Heavenly Father wants a WHOLE body to be Christ’s Bride, not handicapped or disabled Body.
That is why what you do is a calling, it is a service (a ministry in the truest sense) because it meets the need head-on. But it doesn’t condemn the actions, it shows those engaged that God loves them, the individual and can heal them of that rage, that anger, and that bitterness that eats one from the inside out!
I do tend to go on and on, but I read this last night and just didn’t have time to comment and it was on my heart most of last night. When I don’t sleep, I try to pray and meditate and for some reason this article was on my heart!
Sis, great job in what you do exposing the truths that many in the church don’t want to face. THE Church NEEDS ministries like yours to keep us centered AND accountable!! God bless you so much Sis. I’ll be reading more today. Yesterday and today I had little to no pain, so it feels good to feel the keys under my fingers!!! Love you Sis in the Lord, ’til the next one, again God bless. Oh and by the way, going to listen to the “Walking Wounded” video you have next!!

    • Pastor Roland, thank you so much for your encouraging words. And yes, I totally agree with you. We are here to be God’s vessels… to be used by Him and empowered by His Spirit to do His Works. He is calling us to higher levels of faith with Him… that we will walk as Christ walked the earth with miraculous healings, deliverances, restorations. Too many churches are not teaching this and too many Christians think that miracles are a thing of the past. But… God has many sitting on a shelf just waiting for the time when He will reveal His manifest sons of God who will do His greater works. The time is getting near and He is equipping His Army. Through His Love, He has given us the Gift of Salvation and the Key to overcoming. He is just waiting for hearts to turn to Him and realize that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. He is the Key to overcoming all our rage, anger, bitterness, all wounds, and every obstacle that this world throws at us. God gave us the Key to overcoming this entire world but how many of us will grab hold of the Key? I thank you for your support and lift you up on prayer. God bless you, my brother!
