Can people really change?
is a question we need to ask…
especially when it comes to remarriage…
to an ex who’s been abusive in the past.
And can one who’s committed adultery…
be faithful to a spouse again…
so their eyes will no longer stray…
and lust of others will come to an end.
Now is saying “I have changed!”…
enough for one to be believed…
when trust has already been destroyed…
by the abuses one has received.
Well, only God knows all hearts…
and true change requires transformation…
so beware of those who manipulate…
and watch for signs of confirmation.
Confirmation of having changed…
or confirmation of being the same…
should always be a priority…
to discern if they’re playing a game.
And ask God to help you…
that all truth will be exposed…
for remarriage is a gamble…
and the future only God knows.
