Poem: MEN… Be the spiritual leader of your home again!

Spiritual leadership

This is a cry to all men…
Be the spiritual leader of your home again!
Teach your children the Godly way…
and from God they will not stray.
For the seeds planted in their heart…
will be the basis for a Godly start.
All children learn from example…
so their behavior is not circumstantial.
Drugs, sex, and alcohol…
have been a cause of many to fall.
Gambling, infidelity, pornography…
are these all part of your biography?
The failure of marriage is on the rise…
and divorce causes is no longer disguised.
For man was called to be the spiritual leader,
not the abusive dad or wife beater.
So rise to the call today…
to teach your children the Godly way.
God always wants to be by your side…
so let Him be your Spiritual guide.
Always choose righteousness over wrong…
and this world will sing a new song.

  1. Thanks a lot for this cry or reminder to men. It is so sharply constructive. In fact the cry should be to parents not to men only. I and my wife have worked together to teach our children the godly way, and thank God our five children have grown up without straying. I can say they are living spiritually empowered successful lives.

    • Amen… I thought about making it to “parents” but I have personally seen the devastation when the mother is the spiritual leader but has to be subservient to the husband. When parents are not on the same spiritual team, much derision and division occurs, bringing confusion and gives the enemy a foothold. I guess that’s another reason to be “equally yoked”. I thank God that He has delivered my children and I from our past and as brought us where we function as a team for God. Thanks for your encouragement.

  2. Thank you Secret .A for your message, it’s very True, example is stronger then word. I didn’t have a stable childhood and very little Christian teaching, only from Sunday School but I did learn that Jesus Loved me and wanted to be my friend and He was and is but I lost my way and Jesus had to rescue me, gambling almost destroyed my life but He was always near, even when I walked away, we were not in fellowship but He never let go.

My 7 Children are in Heaven, they have only known Joy which I’m so grateful for, my Hope is in knowing we will be reunited, which will be a reality … How very Loving and good our God is.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne

    • Oh, I totally agree. I believe that men and women should come together as spiritual leaders of their household. The problems arise when women are subservient to their husbands and men do not rise to the call. God calls all of us to serve Him and children learn by the example set for them. Many blessings to you!

    • Sorry to disagree but the WORD OF GOD has been set as a guide for us. Please read, (Ephesians 5:24 NKJV) “Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.” And also read (I Timothy 2:12 NKJV) And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. I agree with this Holy inspired blog, it’s you pilw0 I don’t agree with. However, the woman may assume a type of leadership role in the home if the husband is unsaved.

      • Thank you. That’s exactly right.I just read that yesterday. The man is supposed to be the spiritual leader of the home but many women have fought a spiritual battle in their own homes when dealing with an unsaved husband. It is much easier when both are on the “same page” or equally yoked spiritually, I have personally experienced and witnessed with others the turmoil that occurs in a home when the woman is the spiritual leader while the husband does not walk with the Lord. Children are affected as the enemy gets a foothold into the house. Unfortunately, this is a battle that many women encounter. I truly feel that this world’s problems would decrease if more men would rise to the call and be the spiritual leaders. I know that my marriage would not have failed… Blessings to you my friend.

      • I so sorry about your marriage. I hope and pray that one day you and your former husband will be reunited and be on the same page. I wouldn’t tell a word of a lie I for one am very afraid of marriage. Please be encourage all things work together for them that love the Lord.

      • Amen. Yes, all things do work together for good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes. God has rescued me from the abuse and infidelity of my ex and broken those strongholds off of my children and I. He has brought me from a place of brokenness to wholeness and will use that as a platform to help others as I hold onto Him for my future. He is the Key to overcoming every obstacle in this world. Blessings to you!!!
