The Wounds of Adultery

My heart aches for the broken
and all those who are wronged.
And I wish I could make it better…
and touch their hearts with a song.
For I have been where they are…
and felt the pain that they feel.
Now I can only tell you…
that with God and time you will heal.
For the wounds of adultery…
are deep to your core.
and I have felt this pain…
as I have been there before.
The deception and lies…
with the shattering of trust…
destroys the foundation…
where trust is a must.
But there is a Foundation…
that will hold you strong.
For Christ is the Cornerstone…
where you will never go wrong.
When two keep Him in their lives…
putting Him first everyday.
These lustful desires…
will not get in their way.
So be careful who you marry.
On what Foundation do you stand?
Because when lust comes to your door,
will your marriage be able to withstand?
