A Vision of Abuse Victims

I had a vision tonight…
that I really want to share.
A vision of abuse victims…
coming out from everywhere.
Victims of all ages…
hiding behind boxes in the dark.
Then stepping forward in boldness…
to speak out and make a mark.
For these victims of abuse…
from the youngest to the oldest one.
All lived a life in secret…
hiding since the abuse had begun.
They had all been silenced…
in a secret life of abuse.
But now they will expose it…
and walk from this life of misuse.
For it was like an army…
coming out from hiding places.
Then standing together…
only then could you see their faces.
For it was pure fear…
on the face of every one.
As they stepped out of hiding…
and then came together as one.
But the fear was eased…
as there was strength in numbers.
One Army together…
standing like a “band of brothers”.
And in the midst of this army…
was God in all His Might.
For He has called them out of darkness…
to walk with Him into this fight.

Dear Lord, only You see the millions of wounded people from these abuses that are inflicted behind closed doors… from emotional, verbal, physical, sexual, workplace abuses, adultery, and even human trafficking… We pray Lord that You will expose these abuses and rescue your children. Call forth Your Army from the brokenness of their past and raise them up with healing to these hidden wounds to their souls and spirits. Empower them with Your Holy Spirit to fight this battle with You, in Jesus Name. Amen.

    • Watched it… wow… Powerful! I pray that all victims of abuse become empowered to love themselves, inside and out. Many blessings to you! Thanks for sharing this awesome video!

  1. I see many who have been abused in my work as a family doctor. You are right that we need an army that will step out and make the problem known and encourage those who have been abused.

    • Thank you so much for your encouragement. Yes, we need an army… a physical army as well as a spiritual army who will fight in the Spirit. Many thanks and many blessings to you, my friend.

  2. Requesting prayer for this Sunday… I have shared with many women in one-on-one or small group settings over the past 20 years, but this is the first time in large church setting with mixed company, including teens. Excited, yet a bit fearful & vulnerable, especially since my husband is pastor & I will remain to see these people every week afterwards. Need to inspire hope & healing from abuse & redemption from the terrible aftershock of destruction left in its wake (it’s like it creates an earthquake in the soul). Prayers appreciated! (Sorry for the long comment)
