Drawing lines in the sand…
is what we all must do…
especially if facing turmoil…
with someone verbally abusing you.
For abuse may start with words…
but to physical it may advance…
so draw the line to behavior…
before more abuse has a chance.
For abusers push the limits…
on which behaviors have been set…
so don’t let them cross that line…
to bad behaviors you will regret.
For there may be a time to leave…
when abusers cross the line in the sand…
for the cycle of abuse advances…
but too many just don’t understand.
For their lines get moved again and again…
when more abuses are allowed in…
so stand fast on your line drawn…
and put that abuse to an end.

I know this is true because I have been there from childhood all the way through my mid 40’s. I woke up one day and said no more it took me two more years to get free. I will no longer allow anyone to miss use me ever again for I would rather be alone that be treated like that again.
Hi Neese!! So proud of you for overcoming your past. I know that it is not easy but we can overcome with God’s help. God bless you!
