Your Spirit or Soul~~ upon which do you hold?

So many do not realize the power that your “free will” or soul has. God has given us the ability to make choices that can either positively or negatively impact our lives. We choose. He will never force Himself upon us. But He has placed a “spirit” within each of us that communicates with Him… so which are we listening to… our soul or our spirit? Think about it…

Your spirit or soul…
upon which do you hold?
For whichever you hold…
is how your life will be told.
For the soul is worldly…
with your mind, will, and emotions.
And relying upon it…
will bring you to worldly motions.

But focusing on God alone…
and allowing your spirit to lead…
will change your life’s direction…
realizing it’s His presence we need.
For He wants us to trust Him…
and rely upon Him every day…
and as we submit to His will…
His Spirit will guide our way.

For by Holy Spirit to spirit
He wants to communicate…
but only with souls “dying to self”…
will spirit choices dominate.
For our soul wants to lead…
with our own worldly desires…
but your soul submitting to your spirit…
is what “dying to self” requires.

For it’s not about us…
it’s all about Him…
and when we realize this…
His perfect plan for us can begin.
For submitting to Him…
like putty in His Hands…
will allow Him to mold us…
into the “vessel” that He plans.
