As I was driving home in a rainstorm the other day, these thoughts came to me. Rain cleanses, it refreshes, it restores. Let us allow His Love to wash over us like the rain.
Rain pours down…
like tears streaming down faces…
to cleanse and restore…
wiping away past dirt and disgraces.
For a fresh cleansing…
is what many of us need…
to start fresh and anew…
like a new slate to read.
For when we start all over…
and allow God to lead the way…
it’s like driving in a downpour…
where you hardly see but just pray.
For it’s in our traumas and storms…
that we cry out in devastation…
for His Love and comfort to flow…
with healing and restoration.
And though we don’t know it then…
as our futures are yet untold…
trusting God through each storm…
His plans for us we will behold.
So allow His Love and comfort…
to wash over you like rain…
with healing and restoration…
and just watch the blessings you’ll gain.

“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” Joel 2:23
“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” Hosea 6:3
Dear Lord, only You know the multitude who are struggling with storms in their lives and those who are stagnant in dry places. You see the wounds that each are dealing with and the pits which hold them captive. We ask for Your healing rains to pour down upon all. Bring healing and restoration to each with cleansing and rejuvenation to proceed into our future with You… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thanks for the reblog and the support. God bless you!!
My wife and I rarely carry umbrellas, so we are often caught in storms. We love the feeling of the rain cleansing us. Lovely write.
Have a blessed day.
Thanks Andrew for the kind words. I also love the feeling of walking in the rain. It is refreshing and cleansing… as long as it is not a torrential downpour like we so often have. I appreciate your support. God bless you and your lovely family!
