Beware of “Delusions of Grandeur”

 Beware of “Delusions of grandeur”…
which is the superiority that some believe…
but it is only a delusion…
and used to manipulate and deceive.
For some with delusions of grandeur…
believe their “stories” are grand…
and used to build themselves up falsely…
like upon a pedestal they stand.
And many abusers use this…
as a tactic to trick and manipulate…
for victims don’t know it’s a delusion…
nor realize the truth or lies to navigate.
And most narcissistic abusers…
meet many of “grandeur” criteria…
for they believe their delusions…
and truly feel they are superior.
So beware of those who seem “grand”…
and to “superior” things they boast…
making sure that there’s proof…
if they claim to be “better” than most.
Like “professionals” or “elected officials”…
where there’s proof of their claim…
for those with “delusions of grandeur”…
have no proof of the same.
They are like an illusionist…
who can make nothing seem real…
but we need to discern their stories…
with no more lies to be concealed.
For many have fallen victim…
of these grandiose lies and deceit…
only to escape with their lives…
with feelings of brokenness and defeat.
For one who speaks “grandiose” things…
may not truly be a reality…
but one who is honest and sincere…
will more likely speak in genuine humility.

Dear Lord, only You know the multitude who have fallen victim to the lies and deception of narcissistic people. You see the brokenness that follows with the abuse they endure. We pray for wisdom and discernment for your children so we will no longer be deceived. We ask for the deceivers to be exposed and all truth to be revealed. And we pray for all to be delivered and healed… in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
